Forgiveness

The lord works in mysterious ways
when you least expect it there is a
thought that is spoken and a
song that is heard.
Have you often wondered where those
out of the blue feelings come from?

I just so happened to read a
book belonging to a co-worker of mines
Unforgiveness is what the cover read
guilt was on my mind.

As i began to read a peacefulness
came over me
I was being flooded with answers to questions
that constantly plagued me.

I must admit without a doubt
that I had a bitter heart.
The lord gave me insight to myself
on how I was acting and how I was
being controlled by my bitter heart.

The question was asked:
"why should god forgive me?"
when I can't forgive those who
committed wrongful acts against me.

As I sat and pondered that very
question I was able to
let go and let god.

I without a doubt or hesitation
forgave my sons father(s)
for the things that they did
whether it was just or unjust in
their eyes.

The burden I carried was now a
lighter load.
I realized that the bitterness
that covered my heart
allowed me to feel what I hadn't
felt in a long time.

It was love that my ex
and I had shared.
In actuality it was always there.

With that said I can forgive
him for his trespasses
for god forgave me and in this
cleaning process maybe I can
accept my love for him and his
for me and together we can raise
our family.

"But if ye do not forgive neither will your father which is in heaven forgive you for your trespasses. ~Mark 11:26
